Rylstone Cottage Museum The collection consists of domestic items, records and photographs portraying aspects of family life in the Rylstone District in the 19th and 20th centuries. This historic building in Rylstone is part of the Rylstone Heritage Trail The Heritage Walk in Rylstone begins at the Memorial Hall. An Information board outlines guided walks of colonial - era building of historical beauty. The Thyme Out Community Gardens in Rylstone is a community garden operated by the local garden group under the umbrella of the District Historical Society. Kandos Band Rotunda is a well utilised community asset being the focus for many community gatherings and the start of the Walk Around Kandos Heritage Self Tour. In Autumn, the streets of Rylstone are covered in drifts of Autumn leaves in brillant reds and orange. St James' Rylstone,built in 1850 was the first church built of stone west of the Blue Mountains and is part of the Rylstone Heritage Trail Kandos Bicentennial Museum displaying social and industrial history of Kandos.
